Matt Williams (Australian politician) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Matt Williams (Australian politician)
Matthew "Matt" Williams (born 28 March 1973), Australian politician, has been a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives since September 2013, representing the Division of Hindmarsh, South Australia.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Matt Williams Candidate for Hindmarsh )〕 Williams was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and worked for one of South Australia’s largest law firms before entering politics at the 2013 election, when he contested the seat of Hindmarsh. He received a 7.97 percent two-party-preferred swing, defeating Labor incumbent Steve Georganas, and holds the seat with a 1.89 percent margin, making Hindmarsh the most marginal seat in South Australia. Hindmarsh was the only seat in South Australia to change hands at the 2013 election. Williams is only the third non-Labor MP in Hindmarsh's history, and the first to unseat a Labor incumbent. It is reported that Liberal insiders are looking for Williams to be the preselected Liberal candidate for the safe state seat of Morphett if he fails to retain Hindmarsh at the next Australian federal election.〔(State plan to save Abbott’s favourite SA Liberal: InDaily 22 April 2015 )〕 ==References==
